About Fairfield, IL - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Fairfield is a growing city found in Wayne County, Illinois, and it also serves as the county seat. Roughly 5,500 people call this community home, some of who attend local Frontier Community College after high school. While several prominent people have called Fairfield throughout the community’s history, the most notable is arguably Kenneth Michael Kays, who was awarded the Medal of Honor for heroism due to his role in the Vietnam War. Fairfield is also famous for being the hometown of the notorious Shelton Brothers Gang.

Fairfield is a great place to live and raise a family. During the warmer spring and summer months, the community hosts open air concerts in the town square, and outdoor enthusiasts can bike or hike on the Fairfield Loop Trail. Residents and visitors alike will enjoy the varied selection of restaurants available here, including the Flat Iron Cooking Company, La Fuente Mexican Restaurant, and Ewings Rendezvous.  Shopping is also plentiful at major retailers like Wal-Mart or at specialty shops like Rusty Star Consignments & Collectibles and the Main Street Shop. There is really something for everyone in this growing Illinois community.

Fairfield is found between humid subtropical and humid continental climate zones. The area experiences four different seasons throughout the year. In the summer, daytime temperatures reach the 80s or even higher, and high humidity can make conditions incredibly uncomfortable. To stay cool, a reliable Energy Star air conditioner is a necessity, but these systems will only be need for a few months each year. Later, they’ll be turned off in favor of a gas or electric furnace, as freezing conditions and precipitation are common staples for the cold winter months. An HVAC professional can help residents to choose the right system for their homes, taking size, energy efficiency, and system features into consideration.
