About Keensburg, IL - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Keensburg is a small village located in Wabash County, Illinois. As of 2013, just over 200 people called this Coffee Precinct community home. Keensburg is situated on the Wabash River, and it is connected to other nearby communities of Grayville and Mount Carmel by Illinois Route 1. Other major metro areas are found in the vicinity – Louisville is located 140 miles east of Keensburg, while St. Louis is about the same distance to the west.

As a tiny community, there aren’t any major attractions located in Keensburg, but there are a few interesting places to visit. There are a few small businesses located here, including the Koffee Kup Café and Timberlake Furniture. However, the most notable destination in the village is arguably Beall Woods State Park, which attracts visitors who are interested in experiencing one of the last tracts of virgin timber located east of the Mississippi River. There are trees over 120 feet tall located in the park, and visitors can enjoy hiking, camping, fishing, and picnicking, especially during the spring and summer months.

The Keensburg area is known for its varied weather conditions, so residents need to be prepared for anything. The spring season usually begins with warm and pleasant weather, but severe storms and even a tornado are possibilities. HVAC professionals recommend that homeowners use this time to service their central air conditioning units to ensure they are ready for the summer, as conditions will quickly turn hot and muggy.

During the winter, conditions contain rain, snow, and sleet, and overnight lows fall well below the freezing point. There are a few days each season where temperatures fail to even reach positive digits, so the right furnace is a necessity. Without a reliable heating system that has been maintained by a trustworthy HVAC company, indoor conditions could quickly become dangerous.
